So I recently came upon a video that helped me clarify the elements of art versus design, and what someone should look for.

The 7 elements of art that I have unknowingly been researching are:

cue: the more you know gif/theme song/eye roll

It’s easy to have a lot of grace with myself at this point because it really is about what I didn’t know. How would I know search for “the elements of design” without actually knowing something like that existed.

So this is a reminder about grace for us all. I’m in this to have fun making beauty, not just to make the beauty.

So far I’ve explored lines, shapes and colors, and I look forward to exploring the rest of the elements of art in a more directed manner moving forward. Afterward, I’ve already got a queue of videos to learn about design.
